About Conveyor Components
Conveyor components form the structural and mechanical foundation of any bulk material handling system. The right selection of idlers, frames, impact protection, and cleaning systems directly impacts belt life, operational efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
Moventis supplies a comprehensive range of conveyor components engineered for real-world industrial conditions. Our carrying idlers are available in flat and troughing configurations (20°, 30°, 35°) to match different belt widths and material characteristics. Return idlers support the belt on its return path, while impact idlers absorb energy at loading points to protect both belt and structure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Moventis supplies rollers & idlers (carrying, return, and impact), structural frames & supports, impact beds for loading zones, and belt cleaners & ploughs. All components are selected to work as an integrated part of the overall conveyor system.
Idler configuration depends on belt width - narrower belts use flat idlers while wider belts use 3-roll troughing idlers at 30° or 35°. Spacing is determined by duty cycle: 1.8m for light duty, 1.5m for medium, and 1.2m for heavy duty. These values are adjusted based on material properties.
Impact beds are recommended when material drop height exceeds 0.5m at the loading point. For sharp or heavy materials like stone and metal scrap, impact beds are recommended even at lower drop heights to protect the belt and extend service life.
Standard frames are painted. For outdoor installations, hot-dip galvanized frames are recommended. Wet or washdown environments require hot-dip galvanized frames with sealed bearings for maximum corrosion resistance and component longevity.
A primary belt scraper is standard for most applications. Wet or sticky materials require a secondary scraper in addition. For fine materials like coal or dust, a V-plough on the return side is recommended to prevent material buildup under the belt.
Yes. Moventis components are designed to standard dimensions and are compatible with conventional conveyor systems. Our engineering team can verify compatibility with your existing belt width, drum diameter, and frame specifications.
